Detailed Job Description

 Plastics manufacturer and injection molding service in Berea is looking for Machine Tenders! Would be responsible for assuring that all machines are producing quality parts according to customer and company specifications and requirements. Standing or being on feet is required for 7 hours per 8 hour shift. Pushing and pulling is a big part of the job, such as transporting product weighing up to 55 lbs. with the aid of a cart and transporting regrind containers from machines to the Material Department. Lots of walking involved. Lifting with the ability to balance is essential to this job. This position is physical and requires kneeling, bending and stooping as well as working with hands repetitively and requires the ability to see fine print and perform visual inspection. Must have the ability to read and comprehend written and computer instructions and to write legibly to carry out job responsibilities. 3rd shift is 11:30PM-8:00PM Sun-Thurs, starting pay rate is $17.25 per hour.

• Observe all requirements for ISO 9001.

• Read and follow the instructions for each job.

• Collect and gage samples to assure they are within specifications.

• Inspect the parts frequently.

• Clean, wipe and blow out the molds.

• Answer alarms and respond accordingly.

• Responsible for attending up to 10 machines. When not assigned to a full section of machines, secondary work must be at acceptable levels.

• Assemble the production boxes and complete all required documentation.

• Transport production boxes to proper staging area.

• Clip, trim or break parts from runners when required.

• Communicate and work with employees from all departments and shifts.

• Identify and react to defective/non-conforming parts.

• Keep work area in orderly condition.

• Once identified by the supervisor through performance evaluations that your job knowledge is at an acceptable level, you must train new employees thoroughly when needs are identified.

• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

• Keep work area clean and in orderly condition.
